Duo Themes / Wallpapers

iPhone Duo wallpapers, in matched pairs

16 wallpapers, each published as two files — one drawn for the 5.4‑inch cover screen at 1398 × 2034, one for the 7.6‑inch inner screen at 1878 × 2670. Free, no account, no watermark.

They are not one image exported twice. The two screens have different proportions and different pixel densities, so each file is composed for its own screen: the glow stays in the same visual place, the horizon lands at the same height, and a pattern is the same physical size on both panels. Unfold the phone and nothing jumps.

How to use them

  1. Open a wallpaper and download both files — the one marked Cover and the one marked Inner.
  2. Fold the phone closed and set the cover file from Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper → Photos.
  3. Unfold and repeat with the inner file.

Longer version, with the things that go wrong: setting a different wallpaper on each screen.

Questions

What size are iPhone Duo wallpapers?

The cover screen is 1398 × 2034 pixels at 460 ppi and the inner screen is 1878 × 2670 pixels at 430 ppi. Every wallpaper here is published as two files, one for each. Full breakdown here.

Why two files instead of one?

The two screens are not the same shape — 1:1.455 on the cover, 1:1.422 inside. One file reused on both gets cropped by about 2%, which moves whatever you cared about in the image.

Are they free? Do I need the app?

Free, and no. Download the two JPEGs and set them from Photos. The Duo Themes app is free too, and it adds widgets and icons in the same palettes, but nothing here requires it.

Can I use them on a regular iPhone?

Yes. The inner-screen file is larger than any current iPhone display, so it will fit any of them — iOS will crop a little at the sides.

Can I use these commercially?

Personal use, free, no attribution needed. For anything commercial, email us first.
